Film

Wat? You made a movie? Not really. While I haven't made it yet to direct and film something awesome, I made it to the screen as a concert goer in a 2011 film, Follow Follow, directed by Peng Lei, who's best known as the frontman of New Pants, one of my favorite Chinese bands.

Set in today’s Beijing, the film discusses pop culture in China and Chinese youth' imitation of Western culture. It centers around a young girl’s journey into Beijing’s rock scene, and her inner world as she (silently) interacts with rockers and makes new discoveries about herself. Many of the characters in the film are actual people from the Beijing music scene.

I can be found in the crowd at around 27:15, when Re-TROS was performing.
